Chocolate Almond Toaster Strudel

Easy to make toaster strudel with real ingredients! No artificial additives and something you can enjoy and share with the kids too. Dessert or breakfast, you pick!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of complete mix for pancakes the add- water-only variety of your choice
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil cold, in solid state
  • 2 tablespoons of cold water
  • 4 tablespoons of Once Again Almond & Cacao Spread

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting coconut oil into pancake mix using a food processor; add water just one tablespoon at a time until the dough forms. It will be sticky.
  2. Roll out dough on parchment paper with a rolling pin until you achieve  about a ¼ inch thickness. Then cut the dough into eight rectangular pieces.

  3. Drop one tablespoon of Once Again Almond & Cacao Spread onto four pieces, and then cover those with the other four pieces. Using a fork, gently press them shut around the edges.

  4. Place them in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove from oven and let them cool.  Optionally, drizzle more Once Again Almond & Cocoa Spread on top to garnish and enjoy!

  5. Store  strudels in a sealed container for up to three days, but they are best enjoyed fresh. This recipe makes three-four strudels measuring about 3x3 inches each.
