  • 1 ½ cup of rolled oats
  • 1 cup of oat flour
  • ½ teaspoon of cardamom powder
  • ½ cup of coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey

Middle Layer:

  • ½ cup of Once Again Lightly Sweetened Tahini
  • ¾ cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey

  1. In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, oat flour and cardamom powder until well blended.
  2. Then mix coconut oil (at room temperature, liquid) and honey or maple syrup. Press about ¾ of the mixture on the bottom of an 8x8 pan, or a 9x5 pan. A silicone pan makes it very easy to remove the bars once they are set. If using a metal pan, line it with parchment paper.
  3. Place your creation in freezer for 15 minutes to set.
  4. In the meantime, in small saucepan under very low heat, melt chocolate adding in the Once Again Tahini and honey until mixture  reaches a  thick consistency.
  5. Remove pan from freezer and pour chocolate mixture on top of the first layer. Then sprinkle the leftover of the mixture on top and return to freezer for 30 to 60 minutes to set.
  6. Slice them into bars and enjoy! Store the bars in the freezer or refrigerator depending on your preferred texture. They soften within 10 minutes at room temperature.
