When inspiration hits, you must go with it and see where it takes you! Traditionally, when you sit by the fire at a campsite or in your backyard ready to a get-together, you’ll be equipped with wood skewers with a couple of marshmallows at the top ready for roasting–unless you’ve utterly failed in prepping and found yourself with plenty of chocolate and crackers— but no marshmallows on site. Yep, it happens to the best of us. Fortunately, we can improvise and sometimes completely change the game when you bring in Once Again Peanut Butter to the rescue. After making these Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Crackers, you may not even remember why you wanted the marshmallows in the first place.

Forget the fire—other than to melt your chocolate—and instead place your peanut butter filled crackers in the freezer for a few minutes to set. Then dip them in chocolate and let them harden. The crunchy chocolate on the outside goes well with the crunchy graham cracker, and ends with the fantastic surprise of creamy peanut butter inside.

Now, here’s a happy coincidence— when you swap marshmallows for peanut butter, you also have improved on your snack’s nutrient balance. Peanut butter will add a bit of protein, fiber, and healthy fats while decreasing refined sugar content. When it comes to your health, each moment is an opportunity to meet your needs, and it gets even better when you can enjoy the treats. Here is an extra tip: Use dark chocolate and choose a graham cracker made with wholesome ingredients.
